Children play at Landless Workers Movement Camp. The landless camp doesn� have access to potable water or sanitation. The only water landless workers can get is from an already existing canals that takes water from Sao Francisco to an unproductive land �the one the landless people occupied to establish their houses. Sao Francisco River has already suffered a number of alterations through dams and the biggest investments done lately were linked to agribusiness not to water social distribution.
