Rabies epidemics in Bolivia

A Santa Cruz de La Sierra inhabitant takes her dog back home after fiding it at Zoonosis Center. The dog was captured on the streets. It is estimated that only the urban area of Santa Cruz has 460,000 dogs - 90,000 of them living stray in the streets. Rabies has always been endemic in Bolivia, but since 2005 it turned into an epidemic.
